About the Event

Allaudin Khilji became more (in)famous after the release of a movie recently. But every coin has two sides. This Sunday, allow us to show you, what infrastructural development he did. How did he construct the largest man-made water pit of Delhi and planted a garden, that became famous as the 'Garden of World' (or Bagh-i-Alam). Later, the father of Irrigation System of India, and the first conservation architect patron of India, Sultan Feroz Shah Tughlaq revived this lake and built an 'Institute of Excellence', with people like Rumi (not the famous poet) teaching there. These, and lot more to be discussed, while we cover monuments like Bagh-i-Alam ka Gumbad, Kali Gumti, Tohfewala Gumbad, Munda Gumbad, Madrasa, Tughlaq's Tomb and tombs of teachers.
